Invite Your Team
Team members are managed from the account menu at the top right, under Workspace settings, on the Team tab. Owners and admins can invite.
Send an Invitation#
- Type the person's email address.
- Choose Admin or Viewer. What each can do is on roles and permissions.
- For a viewer, tick the bots they should see, or leave every box unticked to give them the whole workspace.
- Select Send invitation.
They receive an email with a link. Following it puts them in your workspace with the role you chose. Somebody without a Chatleadr login makes one first and lands in your workspace rather than in a new empty one of their own.
Accepting an invitation takes a verified email address. Signing up with Continue With Google verifies the address immediately. Somebody who signs up with an email address and a password gets a verification link from Chatleadr, and opens it before accepting. If the link has not arrived, they can check the spam folder or select Send the link again on the invitation page.
An invitation lasts seven days. After that the link stops working and you send another.
Members#
How many members one workspace holds comes with the plan, and plans and limits states the figure. The count beside Invite someone shows how many places are in use.
Once every place is in use, Chatleadr refuses the invitation. Remove somebody to free a place, move up a plan, or, on a plan with client workspaces, put the new person in a client workspace of their own.
An outstanding invitation holds a place from the moment you send it, so two people cannot accept the last one. Revoking it releases the place immediately, and so does letting it expire.
The owner counts as a member.
Change Somebody's Role#
Use the selector on their row. The change takes effect on their next request, and if you change your own role the controls on your screen update straight away.
The owner's row has no selector. Making somebody else the owner is a transfer, because it moves who pays.
Changing an admin to a viewer revokes every invitation they sent that is still outstanding, because a viewer cannot invite. To bring those people in, send the invitations again yourself.
Change Which Bots a Viewer Sees#
Under a viewer's name is a line saying what they can see: Sees every bot, or the bots they are limited to. Select it to change the list, then Save.
A limited viewer sees those bots on the dashboard, with their conversations and leads. The rest of the workspace does not appear for them.
Remove Somebody#
Select Remove on their row. They lose access immediately.
Chatleadr also revokes every invitation they sent that is still outstanding. Each one leaves the Invited list and appears in the activity log as withdrawn by you. To bring any of those people in, send the invitation again yourself.
Everything they built stays: bots, workflows, knowledge and leads belong to the workspace. So do their entries in the activity log.
Revoke an Invitation#
Outstanding invitations are listed under Invited with the date each expires. Revoke cancels it and frees the seat. A revoked link stops working even for somebody who still has the email.
